On Saturday, May 12th, 2012, North Haven CrossFit will be hosting the Battle of the Forces … a CrossFit competition to see which branch of law enforcement has the fittest members, benefiting the Wounded Warrior Project.
Where: 70 Old Broadway West, North Haven, CT 06473
When: May 12th, 2012 from 9:00am to 4:00pm
Cost: $60/participant
We received word from North Haven CrossFit that their Battle of the Forces Event on May 12th, 2012 was originally intended to be an individual competition for male/female athletes who fall into the category of active and or retired military, law enforcement, and firefighters. But, in an effort to reach their goal for the Wounded Warriors In Action Foundation, they have decided to open up the competition to all athletes. Reebok CrossFit will be giving away prizes all day as well as selling retail CrossFit gear at a discounted rate. The Battle of the Forces will showcase the fittest athletes, male and female, from the Navy, Marines, Army, Coast Guard, Air Force, State/Local PD, and Firemen … with the goal to determine not only the fittest branch, but the fittest members within each branch. Our goal is to provide our hero’s with an avenue to showcase their skills and fitness levels.

[...] Another competition that is coming up that I think is pretty cool is The Battle of the Forces at North Haven CrossFit. They are bringing together people from each branch of the military , firemen and law enforcement to compete against each other to show who is the strongest!
